First of all. This is the for Blueserver temporarily site hosted at blogger.com in order to keep the beloved community informed. I'm Evert Chin (a.k.a megablue) the founder of Blueserver.
Sorry for the late announcement about what is going on. And Thanks for concerning and supporting for Blueserver.
Many of the Blueserver players might wondering why the server stopped its normal operations. Since SMM Sdn. Bhd. our primary sponsor had stopped paying the hosting service fee of RM1,500 per month for 3 months our hosting guy IP ServerOne had no choice but to pull the servers out from the rack. I guess SMM and our community have very different visions in the gaming industry. At here, we as the first DotA community in Malaysia deeply appreciate the grateful and generous help and support from SMM Sdn. Bhd. in the past. And also thanks for the netizens at chinese.cari.com.my for your cheerful comments and support.
There are plans for re-launching Blueserver. However our teams are still discussing to make it a better start. Please stay with us. Blueserver will be the place for real gamers to meet once again.

I really hope BS can re-open. I had been the very first batch of players to join BS way back 4 years ago when the registration was still able to be done inside the Battlenet Login Menu.
BS had keep me busy during my 3 years of Degree study and fill up my boring nights after 2am everyday. Haha~
So guys please hang on, I'm sure u guys can sort out the issues and re-open BS soon.
And lastly thanks for all the effort to make BS the best DoTA server out there. I'd tried other servers these few days after BS was closed down and i only realized how good the quality of BS is compare to other lousy rule-less server where leavers fill the entire server....
I believe many DoTA players had the same thinking as me too. So i hope to hear from u guys soon. Take care guys...

If funding is a real problems, I suggest payment for membership fee like RM30 per year or etc.... I believe RM30 a year is affordable for everyone, also ecourage premium player, that don't just create many accounts and spoilt the game..... "sikit sikit menjadi bukit". RM30 x 1000 accouns = RM30,000 a year /12mth = abt RM2500 per mth, more enough for a mth server fee.... hehe

Was a bit shock when I found BS site was redirected to this blog (when I noticed that I couldn't connect to BS). I thought the domain name was expired and someone intentionally bought over this domain for his personal usage.
Anyway, thanks for the hosting for so many years. You guys had done a good job in maintaining the server despite the growing crowds.
All the best and hope you can bring this community a good news soon.
P.S: I own an original battle.net key, but still prefer to play in BS.

Oh my god. All this because someone refused to pay. Now I'm forced to go Eurobattle.net cause thats the only server where I have my friends. Dang. Its so much delay there comparing here. P.S. No offence but although more crowded its MORE NOOBIER!!! Majority of the Europeans DONT KNOW HOW TO DOTA So much!!!
I'll wait for the reincarnation of Blueserver. Blueserver will never fail. It will always be ignited by Megablue. Inform me Evert Chin when its back up. Cause I don't go to the web browser much. Ill only leave it on and wait for a reply.

Really thank you for the update. Just came to blueserver.org to check out for any updates and true enough, there was. :)
First of all, thank you for providing blueserver as this was the place where me and my friends bonded together. I also met many nice people out there who also happens to be in my college.
I also came to realise how well blueserver was maintained, compared to other servers, leavers are really common.
One last thing, I hope that Blueserver will be up as soon as possible and I get to keep my account >.<

however I believe you all can find a better way to solve this problem.
I have been your supporters for 2 years and i really hope Blueserver will not be vanquished just for the sponsor matter.
I suggest that megablue can open a donate center for all of us to help a bit, either Rm1 or RM 20 above will be appreciated.
And i also hope that Megablue will open the registration after the server is reopened. Since the server only left 2000+ players.
Most of all, wish you can find another sponsor ASAP.

I prefer looking for another sponsership that regarding any gaming company in market.
I support BS since the ID can using any email address like yahoo or hot mail, it already over 4 or 5 year ago.
But, i got a bit feel with unfair for the banning ID rules like disconnect from server or other small problem, i suggest it notes it down and give warning first, dun ban directly for 2 months with 1 ban point.

My God..i really cant accept the fact that BS is closed and until today i still cant accept it bcoz i was a dota-frenzy n only 1 thing in my mind which is Dota..Dota..Dota. I have been play Dota for 5 years and starting play in BS for 4 years..thats the only place for me for everything..frenz..release tension until i broke with gf also bcoz of dota..

For those of you who are asking, the database is still intact. Meaning all those who are banned, etc will remain banned. And all your accounts are safe so don't worry about them.

As what Grif said above. The database are safe. That mean, the server database and forum database all still remain safe. The banned account and all post and thread are still there. The account still at there. Wont be deleted. About the account creating need mega him self to say.

So that's the problem why blueserver was closed. Financial problem eh...well, actually I think my guess was right. Well, just to share a 2 cents here. Why not blueserver impose a charge to all the account holder? It not need to be high. Maybe just One ringgit a month per person? And the payment made through hp credit which means deduct from the hp credit. With the number of players in bs, i'm sure the amount will be added up and RM1 is simply way too cheap!

i will be waiting blueserver to reopen , is fun playing with blueserver people, although we sometimes got game spoiler/ leaver but at least we have a ban list to control and i know its not easy to manage the ban list. looking forward to the reopening of blueserver!

Well, imo.. one of the reason that blueserver crumbled is due to the rapid decrement of dota players. Furthermore, as u all hav known the undeniable fact that most of the dota beginers prefer playing in GG-Client as they can leave whenever they like without risking of being banned and some of the expert players have been lanc-ing on beginers, making them feel xtremely tulan =X (no offence)
IMO, its worth trying something new, such as hosting a Diablo2 realm perhaps =P
The main reason blueserver has been shutted down is due to lack of $$ to support it. On the other hand, ppl would be more willing to donate if they are to be rewarded. Let say u host Diablo2 server, u may offer various donation items for sale.
In addition, as u all hav known that Diablo3 is coming soon, so i say... hosting Diablo2 server aint that bad as this game has a bright future(Diablo3)

20 RM a month is a lot to me. 20 RM can take up to more than a year. Actually to be precise its 6 years. Lower down the fees. Later someone will have dificulty finishing the sixx years. What if lets say he gets banned. His money is KAU KAU Wasted. Maybe we each donate 0.80 Cents for 3 months. In estimation there are 2k Players in BS. 0.80 X 2K = 1.6k which is 100 ringgit. I strongly suggest that you change another hosting provider, RM1500 per month is just too ridiculous.
I myself am a website builder, even my busiest sites only cost about $239 USD with unlimited BW.
The problem is that the hosting fee in malaysia is too damn overrated. I can find cheap game server for you, but i think it will be lagger since it's overseas.
I dont think you will need a good server, just get 2 moderate servers will do. One for pure game hosting, and one for SQL or queries calling stuff.

I will wait for it. Blueserver is the best server. Best community and best gaming site. I have been supporting BS since 2005 when 1 email 2 acc still available. Even when GG becomes popular, i have never abandoned BS because public game in GG is terrible. I still remember teammate's comment "Don't kill so much, all leave later" ... then what is the fun? I don't like game without rule-bounds, it just promotes unsporting attitude.

BTW, i donno the donate system as i never once donate. However, i would love to donate if the payment could be made through SMS. State the amount and send to XXXXX, something like that. I believe all BS players would prefer this system.

If u hate Bs so much then dun play lar, no 1 force u to play in BS. U talk only easy, everyday got so many leavers, MOD are human too, they nit to eat sleep sh*t but still they're doing their best to ban those leavers. And at least there're not much leavers in BS compare to GARENA and NARAKA...
I cant be the mOd as its a boring job, everyday seat infront of PC look thru d replays and complains again and again... If u so like to ban ppl, why not u apply as a MOD and ban 9 them???

Since blueserver requires monthly maintenance fees. I would suggest that the teams can sell prepaid cards and commission be use for its maintenance.
Although its small amount, its still money though and bs wouldnt get sued by Blizzard. :P

Guys once again you need to understand that we cannot force people to pay in order to play or Blueserver will go through a lot of legal issues. So, a monthly fee is out of the question. However, the team is coming up with other ideas which will work in my opinion. Your patience and understanding is greatly appreciated.

I'm absolutely shocked when i heard bs is permanently closed down!! Until i check the site myself,so this is wat happened.. I remembered when there is a time bs had a crisis and asked ppl for donation.. It went pretty well.
Even though the only thing i'm not satisfied with was the banning system (no need to explain more). The rest i'm pretty much proud about BS,been a player since form 4 (2004) and still getting better (if weren't for the closed registration i'm sure there would've been more player by now).
Where can u get 9 good matches out of 10 besides BS?? Seriously if u jus ask for help,i'm sure there are those that are willing to assist u in any way..No way i'm going in to GG to play and torture myself with those leavers!! C'mon Chin we support U and of course BS

Garena was way much better than BS in terms of competitive plays / matches between teams and the latency issues. BS has very static latency compared to Garena which is more dynamic and manageable.
Alot newbies and illiterate players (have no knowledge of net) would blames Garena for laggness. While leavers on the other hand, is caused by their own behaviour of leaving the game - nothing to do with Garena. Wanna a smooth game to play? Then stops leaving a game already~ train to play in high latency..
Its true that BS is one of the best Bnet server out there. But i hope BS could re-launch again in a better rules and sets of management.

Like all those who had previously left comments...We really appreciate all that the team had done to keep the server in tip top condition and to keep leavers and game spoilers at bay.
Honestly speaking, this is BEST server i've ever played in compared to the original battle.net , zion and other hosting services.

Can't really see why people complain about Garena that much. From my point of view, the amount of leavers are pretty much the same. ( or rather, it is not like I care if they leave or i complete the game or not )
Garena in my opinion, is far smoother and there are more competitive bunch popping out every now and then. Blueserver players on the other hand, are rather boring the last time i've seen them ( which is around a month or so before BS was closed down )
Attitude-vise, players from both server are pretty much the same. Some are real friendly and some treat you like some sort of fiend.
Too bad there are little interesting stuffs going on BS forum before it closed down. Else it'd still be an enjoyable place to hang out. The lagness of the game was so intimidating that I dare not to even think of playing after I see what happened to my brother.
Oh well, support or whatnot.

Well, since you said leavers are caused by their own behaviour, this is the reason why blueserver needs streamyx email to be register.
To control leavers from leaving, and spoiling the game (every game that i play in Garena has a leaver), blueserver implemented the ban point system. So what is the purpose of the ban point system if people can create as many account as they can?
If you can think so rationally, why didn't you thought of that?

We`ve even plan to contribute money among ourselves, actually to us, RM 1500 monthly is not so much for us, as an employee...but its only 4 - 5 of us, im trying to find some other frens that can help us, i think its worth it contributing few hundred n it really can satisfy ourself, if we count back again, everyday we go CC like this its the same amount to be pay, RM2 per hour petrol...TIME... y not we play at home plus Mega can control the amount of leavers, even ban them, can i PM u abt the price ? is it really only RM1500 to re-open the server ?

Why Garena and Blueserver no difference in banning system.
Characteristicts of players behaviour in Garena:
1. Low lvls(they 100% won't give a fuck whether they get ban or not)
they will straight away leave.
Most likely lvl 15 players and below.
2. Lvl 15 and above. Really give a life about it.
Why? Starting from lvl 15 you can't lvl in 2 days. Unless you play 24 hours.
So if you have felt this before.
I am sure you won't use this account to leave.
Simple,take it as an RPG game.
You lvl so hard and end up getting banned.I am sure you don't want your effort to just blink away right?
3.About maphackers in Garena.THERE IS NO MAPHACKERS that ever step forth to Garena YET.
Oh yea. I tried many ways to bypass it but still Garena blocked the bypass and shadowfiend maphack.
Garena anti-hack system is good just as good as bprotect.
Oh I tried once on blueserver.
I maphacked the previous bprotect version =P.TRY ONLY ONCE.Don't know about the current bprotect anti-hack system yet.
